What to Expect After Our 1st Call

How long are sessions?

Each 1:1 session is 1.5 hours, with space to gently overflow up to 2 hours if needed. This gives time to integrate what arises, especially when something unexpected or meaningful emerges.

The Couples session is 2.5 hours, with space to gently overflow up to 3 hours if needed. 

What happens in a session?

No two sessions are the same. Together we follow what’s alive in the moment — combining coaching and mentoring with somatic practices, intuitive listening, parts work, visualization and trauma-informed tools. We work with whatever your system brings — at your pace.

Is one session enough?

One session can bring insight or relief, especially if you’re working with a specific situation or question. But deeper transformation takes time. You can’t learn to slow down quickly — it’s a practice. That’s why I often recommend starting with 2–3 sessions closer together (weekly or bi-weekly) before spacing them out. This allows space for life to unfold in between, which provides feedback.

Do I have to commit to a bundle?

Not right away — but I do recommend it. This work takes time to root and unfold.

The 8-session bundle is a beautiful place to start. It allows us to move through deeper layers, at your pace, while creating space for real transformation. Payment options are available to support this choice.

You’re also welcome to book individual sessions — either to begin more gently or for continued integration after working together more deeply.

If none of the payment options work for you, feel free to reach out. I’m open to finding something that fits your capacity.

Do I need to prepare for a session?

Not at all. If you arrive feeling scattered, unsure, or unprepared — that’s welcome too. There’s often wisdom in the resistance or discomfort. Sessions are client-centered and always attuned to your unfolding process and rhythm.

What kind of things do we work with?

People come to this work for many reasons — burnout, numbness, overwhelm, grief, disconnection, or simply the quiet sense that something needs to shift. Some have tried everything else and are still carrying something they can’t quite name. Others are just beginning to listen inward.

You might be on the edge of change, or deep in the middle of something tender. There’s no right or wrong place to begin.

We might work with:

  • emotional overwhelm or the inability to feel

  • exhaustion, burnout, or freeze

  • rebuilding self-trust, confidence, and inner safety

  • boundaries, saying No, understanding your needs and desires

  • grief, transitions, or stuck places that keep repeating

  • protective parts, exiled emotions, or younger aspects of self

  • a longing to reconnect with your body, your truth, your sensuality

  • unspoken shame that’s been held in silence or pushed underground

 

We go slowly. We follow what’s present, moment by moment. This is a space to explore at your own pace — shaped by you, for you.

What kinds of practices or modalities do you use?

Every session is intuitive and grounded in the body. We begin with what’s present and move at your rhythm — not a set formula.

This might include somatic awareness, breath, stillness, gentle movement, emotional release, parts work, or visualization. We also draw from coaching tools that support clarity, perspective shifts, resilience building, purpose-driven exploration, reveal blind spots, unlock limiting beliefs, and cultivate embodied leadership. Alongside this, we integrate NLP, sacred sexuality, and practices rooted in my Afro-Caribbean and Native American lineages.

Rather than applying a fixed method, we co-create space for what’s ready to be seen, felt, and softened.

You’ll receive simple practices and reflections to carry into daily life — because this isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about slowly deepening your fluency in the language of your body and tending to your unfolding with care.

Will I receive practices between sessions?

Sometimes, yes. I may offer a gentle invitation to continue the work in between — things like sensory rituals, journaling, or simple embodiment practices. These are never mandatory, and always designed to support your unique rhythm (think: nourishing, not more homework).

What helps support this work?

Having a journal to track your inner journey can be supportive — a space to dump, reflect, dream, or release. Another powerful tool is a small daily ritual: something that anchors you back to your body, your breath, and your felt sense. These practices build the inner scaffolding that allows this work to deepen over time.

1-1 WITH JUEL: Guest Teaching

I’ve participated in Juel’s 3-week-course ‘Get it out: Healing Anger - Emotional Release’ and I’m so glad I did. This course has given me so much... I, and many women with me I think, have always been taught not to express my anger, but instead be polite, be nice, be kind. This course has taught me how to tap into my anger in a way that I feel empowered and strong. I have learned to not fight my anger but to embrace it and use it even… I love how Juel focusses on the physical aspect of emotions and leads us away from our analytical mind that loves creating stories, rationalizing, explaining… “stay with your feelings, where do you feel it in the body, what do you feel, can you give it space?”… To be able to really feel, express and let go of emotions such as anger, pain and grief in a group of women, felt very liberating and special and I’m very grateful for this experience. Also Juel has given us tools to bring home and continue our practice by ourselves.. something I’m enjoying quite a lot. Before I’ve always felt stuck and helpless when experiencing anger, not knowing how to deal with it, or dealing with it in a destructive matter and now I’m ‘armed’ with a set of tools and exercises I can turn to whenever I want. I think this course helped me greatly on my path of healing and acceptance and getting in tune with myself and I would recommend it to every woman out there!
