The Sanctuary: BIPOC Embodied Circle

Updated: 1 day ago

Hello People,

This one is especially close to my heart.

For a long time, I’ve felt the weight of how often Black, Indigenous, and people of colour are asked to hold space—for our communities, for our clients, for the world—without a place to land ourselves.

A place where we don’t have to code-switch. Where we don’t have to explain our joy, grief, or truth.

Where we can just be.

That’s why I’ve created:

About the Event

This is a monthly circle for people of colour — leaders, facilitators, coaches, teachers, creatives, and anyone holding space in any form — to exhale and rest into community.

So often, we are asked to translate, to hold, to navigate spaces that don’t see the fullness of us. In this circle, you don’t have to explain. You don’t have to carry it by yourself.

We begin with a short somatic practice to ground the body and support the nervous system, then open into guided reflection and sharing. You are invited to bring what feels heavy, unseen, or rarely spoken — without expectation, judgment, or needing to have it figured out.

This is not a space to bubble off or escape into wellness as a magic pill. Many wellness approaches can unintentionally encourage avoidance — using somatic practices, breathwork, or movement as a way to disconnect from life’s realities. For BIPOC people, who already live in a world not designed for us, this can feel hollow.

We bring presence instead: small, consistent ways to inhabit our bodies, honour our experiences, and grow our capacity to be with life as it is.

This is part of my broader work, Exploring the Veil, which centres healing through slowing down and feeling what’s here — gently, in small, steady ways. Somatic practices alone are not enough when our systems are regularly activated. What we need is consistent support, micro-resourcing, everyday embodiment, and community to integrate, replenish, and restore.

This circle is a chance to:

  • Release the weight of always holding space for others

  • Explore how you show up, even when stretched thin

  • Be witnessed by those who understand, without translation

  • Reconnect with your body and capacity for care amidst pressure

Each month, we’ll set intentions and invocations that honour your lived experiences, and the collective presence in the room. This is your sanctuary — a place to pause, soften, and be held.

I’ve put a lot of care into making this as accessible as possible. That’s why there’s tiered pricing, both for membership and drop-ins, so you can choose what aligns with your current reality. Yet, equally important to me is commitment, because healing and belonging deepen over time.

Here’s what the structure looks like:

  • Standard, 3 months: €30 / month (~$33)

  • Standard, 12 months: €25 / month (~$28)

  • Supported, 3 months: €25 / month (~$28)

  • Supported, 12 months: €20 / month (~$22)

  • Standard: €30 (~$33)

  • Supported: €25 (~$28)

If this resonates — or if someone comes to mind who would feel nourished here — I’d be honoured if you shared this. You don’t have to hold it all alone.

I'd love to see you there.
