Queen Baseline {Daily Practice}

Updated: Mar 18, 2022

I was often get asked to share the things I do that help me stay grounded in myself. So here is what I like to call the Queen baseline. A baseline of daily 'rituals' that keep me centered so that it doesn't matter what kind of chaos may happen in the world, with emotions, with loved ones, with work, or whatever shows up, or doesn't show up in my day.

It looks something like this:

  • BODY RELEASE: Dance, Embodied Movement, Shake - do something physical to get out of your head and into your body for at least 5 to 60 minutes per day. Everyone knows how much I talk of 1x song per day - Now's the time people! I personally try to get at least 30 mins, even if it's interrupted, I will go back. This is a loving commitment I make to myself.

  • BASE 4 - Write down 4 things total that you want to get done today. A base to-do for the day. Depending on your personal situation this is personal and work combined - if you can do more, awesome sauce. And No, this doesn't mean you will complete the entire to-do list I'm sure you've got building, BUT you will be making steps within the eye of the storm. It's nice to have a little structure within a changing world (Ex. today mine are: prepare for a client 1-1 session, take my son outside to practice his balance bike, complete upcoming Get it Out! online course launch emails, upload my self-love meditation bundle onto my website.

  • DESIRES / NEEDS: As a woman, being in tune with your desires is like adding fuel to your tank. It brings in flowing energy, giving space to enjoy the journey. Understanding your needs can be challenging if you don't give yourself space to feel what you need. Try a breathing meditation to go inside and feel your desires and needs, have a video chat with a friend to share them, journal them out.... Find your own way. This is such an important practice in unstable times. And the bonus is that once you know it, you can ask for it!! Everyday I take a few breaths deep into my body, connect with my yoni, my desires and needs for that day, perhaps for that very moment. This is a true gift, especially having little time with a toddler running about.

  • GRATITUDE & CELEBRATION: These 2, I feel can go hand in hand. When we tap into the part of ourselves that feels an abundance of gratitude, for whatever it may be. Then we open up, allowing some lightness in our soul. And when we learn how to do that through practice, celebration as an act of self-love moves in easily. What are you grateful for? What can be celebrated? Take a small moment to acknowledge what you're grateful for (meditate, draw, breathe, journal, walk, talk about it), and one small action to celebrate it (some you-time, a moment to drink your favourite tea, a walk in nature, a bath, asking for a 'virtual' hug, a scrumptious self-massage, pleasure practices, watching that film you've been wanting to check out, doing a make up tutorial on youtube, dance). This can be a short peaceful meditation of a few minutes, or a chance to dedicate a good chunk of your day to it.

This Queen Baseline doesn't have to take long. But it gives a few centering rituals throughout your day that allow you to come back to the base. To come back to what's most important for you to step into the powerful, loving, and wise queen inside.

The beauty is that if you do it daily, he energy of tapping into yourself flows more easily - it becomes easier and quicker.

Set a flowing frame to your day & let me know how it goes.

See you soon.

One love,

Juel
