About the Event
(Formally known as Dance it Out! - Reserve your spot )
A space to return, replenish, and move with what’s alive inside.
Come home to the quiet wisdom of your body. This class is an invitation to reconnect with yourself—gently, honestly, and with curiosity. We begin with sensation, breath, and the quiet intelligence of the body. There’s no choreography, no steps to follow—just space to listen, feel, and respond from the inside out. You’ll be guided with supportive cues and music, but the movement is yours. It’s not about getting it right or performing. It’s about softening your attention and following what’s already happening within.
Over the course of an hour, you’ll be invited to move as you need—moment by moment. Some days that might be a deep sigh and a simple stretch. Other days it might look like dancing, spiraling, shaking, resting, or sounding. It all belongs.
This method has been evolving over 14 years, woven from my work in somatics, trauma-informed facilitation, nervous system regulation, and traditional dances from my cultures—along with the endless wisdom that bodies keep teaching me. The class meets you where you are. There’s no need to be flexible, “in shape,” or experienced. Just bring your body, as it is.
What can this practice support?
Unwinding tension and stress
This practice gives your body space to release—without forcing. When you move from the inside out, patterns of holding begin to soften. You might notice your breath deepening, your shoulders dropping, your system settling.
Processing emotion through movement
Sometimes what needs to move isn’t a muscle, it’s a feeling. Grief, frustration, joy, longing—all live in the body. They move best when they’re allowed, not analyzed. This is a space for that kind of movement.
Releasing freeze and finding flow again
When life has been overwhelming, we often go still—not the stillness of rest, but the stuckness of freeze. Gentle, intuitive movement can begin to thaw those places, making room for sensation, expression, and aliveness to return.
Deepening presence and self-trust
You’ll build fluency in your body’s language—sensing what’s true, noticing what’s shifting, and responding from there. Over time, this grows your capacity to be with what is—on the mat and in life.
Reawakening sensuality and inner aliveness
As numbness lifts, pleasure returns. Not performative, not for anyone else—but the quiet pleasure of feeling yourself, sensing movement from the inside, and letting it ripple through you.
This class is open to all bodies, identities, and experience levels. Whether you’re just beginning to explore somatic movement, or returning to it again and again, you’re welcome.
This isn’t about fixing. It’s about listening.
The body already knows. Let’s begin there.
